We're tackling the Ocala National Forest in 2025!
The Ocala National Forest, a haven for wildlife and nature enthusiasts, is under threat from litter and debris left behind by visitors. But there is hope on the horizon - Jeepers Keepers, Inc. is on a mission to help restore the forest's pristine beauty in 2025.
We recently visited the Ocala National Forest and were aghast at the amount of trash we saw scattered throughout the trails. Nearly every twist and turn, we saw bottles, cans, baby wipes, and in a few instances, abandoned vehicles. Once we had completed our trail ride, we began chatting with our guide and she told us that even though various Jeep clubs such as ours, ONF residents, and other trail riding groups organize routine cleanup efforts, it's a never-ending wave since there is so much daily traffic throughout the Forest.
Throughout the course of 2025, Jeepers Keepers will be organizing at least 3 cleanups in different areas of the Ocala National Forest, focusing on many of the most popular trail riding roads and OHV trails. We will leverage our existing network of Jeep and trail riding clubs to coordinate and maximize our cleanup efforts.
